For privacy-preserving measurement of reach and technical performance, Cloudflare Web Analytics is used. Details in Section 4.

3. Hosting and Server Log Data (Cloudflare)

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) via Cloudflare Pages. On each visit, technically necessary log data is processed that your browser transmits automatically:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of request
  • Requested URL
  • Referrer URL (if present)
  • Browser type and operating system (User-Agent)

Purpose: Delivering the website, protection against misuse and attacks (e.g. DDoS protection), ensuring stable operation.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functional offering).
Retention: Log data is retained by Cloudflare only as long as necessary for the stated purposes, then deleted or anonymised.

4. Analytics and Performance Measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To measure the overall reach and technical performance of this website, Klarwerk uses Cloudflare Web Analytics with Real User Monitoring (RUM). This tool is designed as a privacy-preserving analytics option: no user profiles, no persistent identification, no analytics cookies.

Data processed (depending on technical operation, including):

  • Pages visited and time of visit
  • Referring URL (referrer), if transmitted
  • Browser type, operating system, device type
  • Approximate geographic region (country level)
  • Performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, page load times)

IP addresses: Processed by Cloudflare solely for brief country-level geolocation and not stored thereafter.
No analytics cookies. No cross-site tracking. No construction of user profiles.

Purpose: Understanding the overall reach of this website, identifying technical issues, optimising load times.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating and technically optimising a publicly accessible website).

5. Fonts (Google Fonts)

This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When the fonts are loaded, your IP address is transmitted to Google so that your browser can render the typefaces.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a consistent typographic presentation). Self-hosting of fonts is planned for a future version.

6. Email Contact

If you contact us by email, your details (email address, name if provided, message content) are processed solely to handle your enquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).
Retention: Data is deleted once the conversation is concluded and no statutory retention obligations remain.

7. External Links

This website links to external providers, in particular Amazon. When you click an external link, the respective provider processes your data according to its own privacy policy. This policy applies exclusively to klarwerk.info.

8. Cookies

This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. The analytics tool used for reach measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics) also operates without analytics cookies (see Section 4).
